Privacy policy

Last updated: 30 September 2026

Apneist Pro (apneist.pro) is a platform for freedivers, clubs and schools. It is in an early test phase. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. Questions: hello@apneist.pro.

What we collect

Account: your e-mail address, and your name and profile photo if you sign in with Google.
Profile: name, country, city, profile link, roles, bio, pronouns, gender (optional), social usernames and photo — whatever you choose to add.
Date of birth: used to check that you are at least 16. It is private; your age is shown only if you turn that on.
Certificates: the details you enter and a photo or scan. Scans are private — only you and our reviewers can see them. Only verified certificates are shown on your profile.
Personal bests, and pages, news and events you publish for an organisation.
Cookies: only the ones the site needs to work — to keep you signed in, to remember which page you are acting as, your light or dark theme, and whether you hid the first-steps card. No advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, so there is nothing to consent to.

How we use it

To run your account and profile, show your public information to other visitors, verify certificates and organisations, send you notifications on the site, and keep the platform safe. We send newsletters only if you agreed to them. We don't sell your data and don't use it for advertising.

What is public

Your profile (name, country, city, roles, bio, photo, links, personal bests and verified certificates) is visible to everyone unless you hide your profile in its settings. Organisation pages, their news and events are public once approved.

Services we rely on

Supabase — database, file storage and sign-in.
Vercel — hosting of the website.
Google — only if you choose “Continue with Google”.
OpenAI — when you tap “Translate”, the text you want translated (and nothing about you) is sent to be translated; also the photo you give when you ask for an AI avatar style.
fal.ai — cutting you out of the photo you give for your card.
Bunny — storing and playing videos.
Resend — sending our e-mails.

They process data on our behalf to provide these services.

Your choices

You can change or remove most information in your profile at any time, hide your profile, and delete your certificates and personal bests. To delete your account completely or get a copy of your data, write to hello@apneist.pro — we'll do it within 30 days.

Age

Apneist Pro is for people aged 16 and over.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and, for important changes, let you know on the site. See also our terms of use.
